Test the Waters, but Move Strategically Forward (Part 1)

Whether you like it or yes, the world of business is moving at a fast pace and the online marketplace is not left out.

In 2012, I started my brand identity design and management company in Nigeria. I focused on developing brand identity concepts and designs for my client.

It was more of a physical face to face business, where I worked with my client one on one through the branding process until the final execution of their work.

In 2015, I decided to go beyond corporate branding to personal branding for individuals, because I discovered one key problem; the success and sustainability of any business is highly determined by the individual running it. In other words, personal branding has a direct effect on corporate branding.

At different touchpoints, the individual must have the right mindset and be able to create the right kind of perception for their business. Again, it was more of a physical face to face business engagement.

Fast forward to 2016, here in Canada, I discovered the world has moved drastically. Now more than ever, the Internet has become a melting pot for new business engagement, and I was not going to be left out.

I knew it was time to take my online business seriously, there was a need to create a hub where folks who desired to work with me can find more information on how to.

Since the launch of my website on the 18th of April, I have received enquires from people who need my services from different parts of the world. Interesting isn’t it?

The launch of www.emekanwarulor.com on the 18th of April was basically to test for functionality, aesthetics and message. The feedback has been awesome.

Guess what, the website is still a work in progress, but I knew it was time to test the waters.

Already, 70 champions have joined my tribe, as we journey towards building exceptional personal brands at emekanwarulor.com

What must you take out from all of these; don’t be afraid to test the waters, but make sure you move strategically forward.
